I'm experienced in costume construction and design as well as sourcing sustainably. My motivations lie in sustainable and vegan sourcing of materials to create, as well as buy pre-made costumes/clothing. When creating, I strive to make beautiful as well as ethical costumes. I find natural techniques such as natural dyeing and printing fascinating and enjoy the experimentation. I am also trained in historical construction and other foundations of costume and I take these skills and apply them in combination with my ethical standpoint to create costumes that can thrive in our current climate. I strongly believe that they way we make and buy costumes needs to be sustainable in order to protect our environment now and for the future. My work here shows my ability as well as determination to create quality costumes for any area such as film or theatre. It shows this variety with the consistent core of sustainability that defines me as a practitioner.
